Hey Friends,

Here is a great trick you can play on your friends, or you can use on your computer.
You can disable the display of Local Disk Drives or Network Disk Drives in "My Computer".

"WARNING- DO NOT USE THIS TRICK IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH REGISTRY EDITOR, MESSING WITH IT IN WRONG WAY MAY HARM YOUR COMPUTER BADLY!"

Follow these steps-

Step 1- Go to Start-> Run. Type "regedit" and press Enter.

Step 2- Now go to:
"HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"

Step 3- Now in the right pane
create a new DWORD item and name it "NoDrives" (it is case sensitive).

Step 4- Now modify it's value and set it to "3FFFFFF" (Hexadecimal).

---

---

Step 5- Now restart your computer.

---

Now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown.

To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply follow same path in Registry Editor and delete this DWORD item that you created. Again restart your computer.
You can now see all the drives again.
